Buyers and their labs judge henna by a few simple things. This is what we make sure of in every bag:
Good henna powder is green. Brown or yellow powder is old or badly stored and stains weakly.
It smells of fresh, dry leaf and hay. A musty or chemical smell is a warning sign.
Milled fine and sifted, with no sand, dust or stems. It mixes smooth, without grit.
Only henna leaf. No dyes, no PPD, no metallic salts, no fillers.
Mixed with water it gives a deep red-orange stain on hair.
Packed soon after milling in sealed 50 kg bags, so it reaches you fresh.
A new laboratory test of our henna is under way. The results will be published here.

Five careful steps, the way henna has been made in Yazd for generations.
Every lot of dried henna leaf is checked for colour and smell before it enters the factory.
The leaf is cleaned of stems, sand and dust.
We mill it slowly on a traditional edge-runner stone mill.
The powder goes through fine sieves, so only the smooth powder is packed.
Fresh powder goes into sealed 50 kg bags. We send you photos and video of your own order while it is packed and loaded.
